Educators

The best way to learn history is to LIVE it!

Teachers, school administrators, and homeschool parents, if you are looking for a fun and engaging way to teach about life in the American colonies, you've come to the right place! With a range of in-person and online educational programs and a focus on the contributions of a variety of people to the American culture, Camp Flintlock has the colonial experience that is right for you and your students!

The information on this page applies to educators and large groups. If you are a parent and would like to volunteer at your child's School Field Trip, please see the Parents page.

See our Programs page for descriptions of our various Field Trip programs and to sign up. For a more detailed explanation of your role in a Camp Flintlock Field Trip, see below.

Resources for Field Trip Coordinators

Who is the Field Trip Coordinator?

The Field Trip Coordinator is our contact person within your organization for scheduling your event, discussing any changes, and disseminating field trip information. If you sign your organization up for any of our Field Trips, please know that we will consider you to be the Field Trip Coordinator.

Camp Flintlock is not currently equipped to handle phone calls and correspondence from more than one person per organization, so the Field Trip Coordinator will also handle inquiries from teachers and parents regarding details of the event. As Coordinator, please feel free to contact us with any inquiries, but please do not direct other teachers and parents to do so.

In the case of an on-campus field trip, the Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that Camp Flintlock staff have access to the field trip location (making sure gates are unlocked, etc).

In the case of a online Field Trip, the Coordinator is responsible for distributing Field Trip materials to students/teachers.

Registering

For our Original Field Trip, which is conducted in-person at our campsite or your location, Camp Flintlock recommends scheduling at least 3 months before your desired Field Trip date (some Organizations book as much as a year in advance).

For most online Field Trips, Camp Flintlock recommends registering at least 3 weeks in advance.

Before registering, please see the Programs page for brief descriptions of our various Field Trips.

A link to our Online Registration Form can be found on each of the above pages. You may register for any of our Field Trip programs using this form.
