Operations

Field Trips

Our local team handles events at our Four Oaks, NC campsite and in the Raleigh area, while our away team travels sometimes for a week at a time, in a five-state region (transportation provided from CF headquarters). Applicants willing to travel will be given priority.

Summer Camp

We offer both day and residential camps and overnight campouts. Summer camp staff are employed on a need basis. Day camp and overnight campouts require less staff than residential camps. Currently, we host 2 half sessions for a boy’s and 2 sessions for girl’s residential camps Sun-Wed and Wed-Sat. The family campout is Thu-Sat. day camps run Mon-Fri. Due to this our summer camp staff understand that the work may only be 1-2 weeks’ worth of work.

All work is typically out of doors and continues in all but extreme conditions (storms, high winds, extreme cold or heat, etc.). This is not a cushy office job. Bringing our nation's history to life is fun, active, and rewarding!
